Thank you for showing interest
in SPS’ Yellow Ribbon Event for Life! If you’re looking for more
information you’re in the right place, but if you’re ready to
sign up, don’t hesitate to use the
link or phone number listed below!
You and your loved ones (be they friends or family) are using
this event as an opportunity to come together and honor the
memory of those who have been lost to suicide. At the same time,
we are coming together to bring awareness, optimism, and hope to
our community as well as funds to Suicide Prevention Services,
allowing us to continue preventing future losses in our families
and in our communities.
This fundraising Event is structured as a walk that will start
at the Pottawatomie Park Pavilion in St. Charles (see map at
bottom of page). During
registration, which is from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM participants will
be welcome to enjoy some live music, the beautiful park, the
view of the river, and morning treats (like coffee and
doughnuts). The walkers will progress along the Fox River to Fabyan Park (where the big windmill is) and then turn around and
return to Pottawatomie Park for lunch. There will be rest stops
and water stations along the route and shuttles in case anyone
needs it. Tricoustic will be performing back at the pavilion
during lunch.
As a participant, we hope that you would be able to get friends,
family, and anyone else to personally sponsor you as a walker,
contributing funds for the cause of suicide prevention. In
addition, we seek business sponsorships. Businesses can receive
different benefits depending on the size of the business
donation. If you know of a business that may be interested in
this opportunity to show their active support for the community,
contact our administrative line to have any additional questions
answered.
If you know this is where you belong, bringing friends and
family together in support and service, SIGN UP NOW! If you’re
not sure, sign up anyway. Fundraise to be there, have a good
time, and see how you like it.
Be prepared to Walk - Ride - or Rock along the Fox River in
September!
Thank you for helping us out and proving that you’re here for
life!
